I think your connection string is wrong.

According to http://www.connectionstrings.com/all-... there is no uid keyword. They only list "User ID"

if you are using a dedicated SQL Server user account, you need to take care of ASP.Net account in IIS App Pool only for Windows File System permission.
In this case both connection strings in your web.config file need to contain "user=xxx;pwd=yyy" instead of "integratedSecurity=true".

If you still encounter an error message, most likely the IIS website is not configured appropriately.

Hi Ranjith,

I am also using using a remote SQL server. I simply cannot make a connection to my database using"/Install/InstallWizard.aspx" when I run the site in Integrated mode. I get the weird empty yellow box like in your screenshot on your first post. When I fill out the information and click continue, the page just seems to reload.

When I switch to Classic mode, that yellow box is not there initially, except when I complete the connection details and click continue it appears and says something like "verifying connection".

I have been able to successfully install DNN7.3.3 a little easier but still need to load the initial installer page ""/Install/InstallWizard.aspx" in classic mode. I then (before inputting connection details) change to Integrated mode. I leave it a minute, then click continue. This seems to work fine, I think there's a failure somewhere preventing the script from taking the connection details.

* I would provide screenshots but not sure how too just yet.

If your SQL Server resides on a different machine, please make sure, it is enabled for remote access.

Hi, i'm also experiencing the same issue trying to install 7.3.3 onto a shared hosting environment.

The install wizard form loads correctly in CLASSIC mode, database connection works etc, but then you get the must run in INTEGRATED mode error message on the next screen.

However if you run the install wizard in INTEGRATED mode the form doesnt appear to run scripts properly - the dropdown lists for Template and Language are disabled and dont appear to be loaded properly (they work in classic mode). Also the hover over the help icons dont work (again, these work in classic mode). And of course database connection fails using exactly the same settings that work in classic mode.

Any suggestions?
