Two steps forward, one back!

I have managed to come to the attach dialogue. I have tried with both SQL and Windows Authentication but did not succeed? How can I change the user information for the SQL Database or server?

All help is appreciated!

Gunther

you should be able to use your sql server admin account for attaching the database.
if you want to continue using attached DB, you need to create a sql server account and grant dnowner permission for your database.
You need to modify both connection strings in web.config to use the database and credentials (or integrated security, if your sql server user is same user as configured for ASP.Net in IIS app pool advanced settings).

you either need to move the database file to the default database location or grant permission for the sql server service account to your database folder.
(I would move the database and keep it attached, which required to modify both connection strings in DNN web.config file).
