I can confirm, that with a new starterkit install, and when I build it FROM vs.net 2005 (hold ctrl and press the f5 play button), that the error occurs. If I install it from install.zip...same settings, the error DOESN’T happen.

Anyway, kind of annoying that I cant do a vs.net build, because I would like to code some modules in the future...not sure why this doesn’t work, but if anyone can help figure it out then that would be awesome.

Noone else has had this problem when installing with starter kit?  I find it hard to believe I'm only one, every machine I build dnn site from vs.net 2005 I get this register error on.

PLEASE help someone? anyone? echo? :)

i find it also strange noone from the dnn team have found a solution so far, it's obviously a bug.
I thougt it was going to be solved with dnn 4.3.4, but NOT!

I set it up with VS.NET 2005, always same error with registration.

When i use the install zip it works fine.  But i wan't to develop modules, like you so i need the source zip...

Hopefully someone founds an answer very soon

I can confirm I have the same problem off a build using the starter kit.  Ugh, I have a custom module setup so I have to use the starter kit.  Any solutions here?  Anyone know what specific files I might just copy from the .zip release?

I had this same error message after doing some mods to app_globalresources.resx where the e-mail mod goes to get its message text.  To make a long storey short, in restoring a distribution copy of the file   I had removed the permissions on it for  asp.net.   I  found the solution when I went to admin-language-language editor, made a change  and got an error to the effect I didn't have proper permissions when I clicked "update".
I hope this might point at least some of you in the right direction
