I have been getting the spam registrations en masse. So I decided to delete all users via the DB that have a CreatedOnDate and LastModifiedDate less that a certain amount of time.. I guess that is a no-no. Perhaps I should read about that first. Anyway, now, and I am not sure if it related or not, if I am in the Admin area of the site on the Page Management page and I right click on a page to see the page settings, I get the dreaded "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." Are there any fixes that I can apply to fix this?

Thanks as always...

John

Yeah - it's definitely best to delete accounts through the API when possible. Part of why is that they are generally soft deleted, which helps prevent bad references when other random tables are looking for a specific user.

Do you have a backup of some sort? You could restore to a different DB and then compare the two users tables to see what was deleted. Or, depending on your circumstances, restore the db from an older version.

If you don't have many custom modules and things, I suppose it wouldn't be that hard to write a script that could identify references in core tables to missing user accounts. That could give you a sense of where your problems are...

Could this be creating my issues with Page Settings? This is what I get trying to get the Page Settings for any page:

Ans when I am on the Page Management tab, all I see is the treeview. There is nothing to the right of it like it used to be.

Thanks,
