Within our portal we have a custom user property that helps us track who a user is... we use this custom user property in a lot of our custom modules to allow us to filter the data that users see.

I want to create a page that shows up in our top level menu that actually links to another site, but when it links to the other site, I want it to pass this custom user property as a query string within the url.. is this possible?

I think you can do this relatively easily using DDR Menu with a Razor script. Through the script, you could access the current user's info (which contains their profile data) and then detect and customize that link accordingly.
