if you are able to provide proper Connection string in web.config, you should be able to Bypass the install wizard by browsing /install/install.aspx?mode=install

site will use Default account (host) with a Default Password "dnnhost", you should replace immediately.

thanks for your quick reply.

I have done what you suggested and i was able to install dnn 7.4.01. But after l logedin i get error: Method Not Allowed (405). The requested resource does not support http method 'Get' on the popscreen (unable to close)

Could it be related to the installation wizzard because i haven't changed anything in IIS (particular handlers)

thanks for your help

Kind regards,

Bass

I found out that there are more problems and i think that they are related somehow.

As i mentioned before i also get an error Method Not Allowed (405). The requested resource does not support http method 'Get' on the close button of the welkom popup.

Another problem i run into is that i'm unable to move a container (doesn't save).

How difficult could it be to have a clean dnn installation. All my dnn installations (< dnn7) went well and had never installation problems and still those sites are running without any problems.

I hope you can give a direction how to handle. I have my own server so there are no restrictions.
