Hi everyone,

I just installed DNN 4.3 today.  I have an existing site at www.mydomain.com.  I copied the site's folder to a new folder and then copied the new installation files over the copies of the old ones, resulting in an upgrade scenario.  I also copied my database into a new one.  I followed the directions in the readme.txt to modify the web.config file to complete an upgrade.  I setup a new site in IIS 6 in a new application pool.  The site is backup.mydomain.com.  The installation went without a hitch.  However, when I access the site, I have two problems:

1. On the homepage, all of the modules say: <module name> is currently unavailable.

2. Clicking on any links goes to a page on the www.mydomain.com site!  What did I do wrong?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Did you add backup.mydomain.com to the aliases?  I usually add testing aliases before the move, just because it's easier, but you can also go add it directly into the database.

I fixed the problem.  Just in case anyone else has this problem, the solution was to go ahead and edit the aliases in the copy of the database for the backup site and then reinstall DNN 4.3.3 using the steps I outlined originally.
