Just read here (http://www.dnnsoftware.com/community-...) that the Vendors/Banners Module is going to be removed from DNN 8 and that "much better options exist."  I used this module to track clicks on affiliate links.  Can anyone recommend a suitable (and preferably free) alternative?

AFAIK, the module will be extracted into an installable assembly, not dropped to leave you with poor Solutions like Google Adwerbs

There is a module from SmokeRanch that is their Banner Ad management system... it doesn't work off of the core tables (has it's own db tables), and it does an OK job of loading banner ads in rotation and tracking views/impressions. It's still a module we use from time to time but I'm not sure that it's been updated in a long time and shows its age a bit.

Uh oh! We are finally about to go live so I am moving everything to DNN8 - and no Vendors/Banners? I found the download over on GitHub but get an error trying to install it. It is unable to find a file. Has anyone installed this?
