in IIS website configuration, edit bindings and add host header "dnndev742" for any IP address on port 80 (port 443 for SSL)

^ What Sebastian said, and what I said previously. You need to add that URL to the bindings (dnndev742) in IIS

I have finish the installing DNN 7.4.2.

This is what I have done.

I added the entry in hosts file (127.0.0.1 dnndev742).

I changed the "dnndev.me" binding to port 8080 and hostname to "dnndev742".

Then open http://dnndev742 and it installed the DNN 7.4.2.

Hope this will help someone in the future.

you should use Port 80, unless you reconfigured your web server.
