I pinged Oliver Hine, and he just updated the roadmap.
DNN 8.1.0 is now scheduled to be released in Q4/2016.

Cool - thanks Sebastian!

I see there's no longer a mention of DCC... do you suppose that means it's dead? If so, that's too bad, I think it was meeting a critical need for DNN.

Why do the quote and reply button not work anymore (just an empty page).

And yes Mike, DCC is the only thing I was looking forward to in 8.1

As far as I got from Jira, DCC was postponed, because the implementation didn't meet the requirements.

There had been rumors, that DNN Corp shifted its focus and might provide their Evoq clients with a different implementation.

I personally don't miss another forms module - it would be more useful to include data types with a variety of edit and display controls, which could be used to declare module settings in dnn manifest only - which would work improve razor modules as well. There is no need for a common data store (at least it would contradict the original concept of DNN), more important would be interfaces to accept content representation in required formats (HTML, txt, xml,..). But that might be ideas for the next CMS implementation.
