Now we have two more installs of DNN doing the same thing. A 7.2.2 install and a 7.4.2 in the last 2 days. Users have been editing for months just fine, suddenly they log in, go to edit and using the HTML module adding a document or graphic links and the window opens up with blanks where files should show.

We delete the user, create them again, presto they are off and running again. I CAN'T be the only one where this is happening when I'm now at over a half dozens customers running into this. Nothing shows in the events viewer out of order. It's becoming a small plague eating time.

it sounds like there is an issue with insert file option of the Editor being used.
Which editor are you using (see Host > HTML Editor Management)?

radeditorprovider. Change it? It's now happening also on a Version 8. File browser is DotNetNuke.Providers.RadEditorProvider.TelerikFileBrowserProvider, DotNetNuke.RadEditorProvider. That's where the issue constantly is.

On DNN 8, default browser is CKEditor, RadEditor is hardly supported.
Anyways, you may go to File management in Admin menu, right click the folder and re-save folder permissions.

What do you suggest for V7 sites where clients don't care to upgrade? I have a few hundred. About a dozen now experiencing this.
