I attempted the upgrade which failed at 45%- Figuring I should  abort the install and roll back to my backed up version  - now have  a 500 server error. So  2 questions:  1 -  best way to bring website back online with FTP link  (have db backup also) ; And

2: what went wrong (as I have 3 other sites all ready for upgrade): here was first 25% error:

System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException (0x80131904): Cannot DROP VIEW 'dbo.vw_Portals' because it is being referenced by object'vw_PortalsDefaultLanguage'. atSystem.Data.SqlClinr.SqlConnection. and etc.

I have a PDF copy of this.

Thanks to the experts who know...Server is on Arvixe hosting...runs 4.0 intergrated asp.net (says 4.5 will work) I have my doubts.

did you by chance apply my TurboDNN script? If yes, you should download latest version and apply TurboUnschema prior to performing the DNN upgrade.

Unfortunately - No i didn't - I forgot about that - so now with a 500 server error - the site is offline - Just not exactly sure about putting the program back to where it was. re-running the turbo script and redoing the upgrade?

the best would be restoring database backup from prior the upgrade, applying TurboUnschema and triggering the upgrade afterwards.

So right now the files on the  site are a mix of 8.04 and 7.4.2 (judging by the date on the folders) - I am assuming I will need to FTP the backed up files from computer to website (overwriting what ever is currently there) then restore the database .bak  to the site and everything works.  Right?

What did I miss?
