Hi Guys Help Needed.

Just tried to install DNN9.1 as a new separate website on a windows 2008 R2 server and of course received message that it needs .Net Framework 4.5.

I already have a DNN website with portals running on this server using DNN 8 and .Net 4.0.   I thought I should be able to update .Net .4.5 without any issues as it is meant to backwards compatible?????  and it certainly worked for the install of DNN 9 but has resulted in Http 500 errors on my other sites..

I am at present doing a restore in time to bring my sites back up as I could not find a solution quickly enough... does anyone know what may have happened and what is the fix.

Stuart

Is it a 500.19 error? If so, there is usually another sub-level error code (eg. 0x8007007e) that you can reference in your trouble-shooting.

We think either the framework upgrade was not registered or something went wrong during the upgrade.
