Hi,

I have been experiencing a very strange behavior while developing a new module under DNN 4.03.02.

I have a datalist with a linkbutton in its itemtemplate. If I’m not logged in as host, when I click one of the linkbuttons the onClick event handler is never reached.

As soon as I log in with host user, the onClick event handler starts to work.

I have tried deleting the web browser’s cache but nothing changes.

I changed page settings to give edit permission to all the users, and things started to work. But as you can imagine, I don’t want anybody to have such an authorization.

Has anybody experienced the same problem?

Thanks in advance,

Pablo.

OK, it seems that I'm getting used to answer my own forum questions

I have found today the reason of the strange behavior: "Cache time" setting for the module.

It seems that if there's a value greater than 0 in that textbox (take a look at module's basic settings), the page is not redraw if you are not logged as a user with "edit permission".

I have set that value to 0 and everything works now.

I wish dotnetnuke doesn't add "60" by default.
