I have 2 SQL SERVER database: name  - QA and DEV.

I installed DNN (connect to  QA database). It's work.

I copied QA database to DEV and now I have 2 similar database.

When I tried to switch DNN to another database, I changed file web.config  , part of  "Connection String for SQL Server", but it's gives error :

When and what I should to change for working with another DB?

Can you check in the /Portals/_default/logs folder if you have any interesting info in these log files?

Ganna,

did you double check if the Application Pool has the necessary permissions on the DEV database?

Happy DNNing!
Michael
