OK, Is this thing going to happen or not? We're now officially desperate for a forum. Is there any realistic estimate of a timeline? Assuming there's not, does anyone know of a good forum I could use?

First post on the forums  well I have to say I really like these forums and am patiently waiting for the changes. The only down side I see is the dates issues and a few other misc issues that I seen are being addressed in this update.

thanks for the hard work and am very excited to get my hands on the next release.

I think the policy of not giving release dates or timelines is a good one. A few weeks ago there was a claim that the release would be in the next few days. So many including myself were hanging out for it. Obviously its not ready yet, and it will be released when its ready. I think a good rule of thumb is to not say, and just surprise everyone.

In saying that- I do hope it is soon. I am certainly waiting, and it is certainly a release that is much anticipated by everyone.

I use ActiveForums by activemodules.com.  It's been out for a long time, up to v3 now, is stable and well supported.
