I've been working on the web all day, trying to figure out DNN and begin getting my website ready to go live. About an hour ago, anytime I made changes (to pages, modules, etc.) the system seemed very, very slow. I lost patience and began stopping the page after 2 minutes or so and reloading it. Well, I ended up logging off, and now I can't get to it. In IE, it shows that it is "Opening page", but I've waited as long as 10 minutes and it never does open it. I finally tried it in Netscape to see if I can get to it, and it displays an error "Redirection limit for this URL exceeded. Unable to load the requested page. This may be caused by cookies that are blocked." I have deleted all cookies, cleared all history, and deleted all files. I rebooted after doing this. I still can not get to my site in either IE or Netscape. Does anyone have any clue what I need to do to clear this up?

Thanks,

Penny

Look like your site, starting page is looping.  Do you remember setting any page redirection in DNN or in the web server?

I'm having the same problem, I think.  I run my own server, and I had to change the IP the DNN site was on after I installed it.  Now DNN is trying to redirect to the old IP address.  If I switch the site back to the old IP I can get to DNN just fine.

I didn't set up any redirects in IIS; i've just been using IP's.  Is there a place in the default.aspx or related file where there is a redirect?

Before you switch the IP, log in as Host -> Admin -> Site Settings and scrolldown to the the Portal Alias section and add the new IP.

After you switch the IP, you can go in the same place to delete the old ip.

Hey,
I am having the same problem, sort of.  I am new the dnn and I am trying to setup a local copy of the site that is in production.  I have created the DB in sql and copied the website to my iss directory.  I have setup everything up and when I go to the site I get redirected to the production site.  I have manually up dated the portal alias to point to localhost\dnntestsite but then it just sits and spins?

Any ideas?

Thanks
