I have a work around for this error.

I was also getting the same error.

Running (trying to install) DNN 4.3.7 on a Win XP SP2 machine running SQL Server 2005 (no service pack) with a database with collation of SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS. It should be of note that the DEFAULT collation for sql server is SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CS_AS (case sensitive) but this database instance is SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS.

If I run the starter kit install with SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CS_AS i get a "The stored procedure 'dbo.GetTabByName' doesn't exist."

If I change the collation to SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS I get The stored procedure 'dbo.GetPropertyDefinitionsByPortal' doesn't exist.

It seems with either collation on that database i was screwed. (I believe SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS is the default for SQL Server).

The collation was the only thing I changed during the SqlServer 2005 install. Anyways I instead installed to default install of SqlExpress that came with VS 2005. It seems that having an install of non SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS can cause this error.

Cheers,
Tyler

Anyone got a cure for this?

It is IMPOSSIBLE to install DNN 4.x to a remote server.... Tried every version. Allways the error... :(
