Hi

Is there a modules installation guide anywhere ?

I see many moduled to download on the web and I want to add them to my website.

please help

to install a module log in as host, go to module definition in host menu and cklick "upload new module". Browse for the module, add it to the upload list and click upload. Check the install log for errors - if there aren't any. you are fine otherwise good luck (best practice is to make a backup before installing new modules).

Hi Sebastian and thanks for the info.

when you say backup, do you mean to back up the whole website?

can an installation of a module damage the website?

it is always a good practice, to make an additional backup before system changes, and module installation is a change. Modules can stop your Site working - not usually but in special cases. it is often easier to restore from backup than undo changes manually.

you should backup web site folder and Database!
