I'm completely at a loss.   New database, clean copy, web.config clean with a connection string, no go... as always with dnn.  Why?  Anyone think there should be a fork of the source code?

<rant>Again, DNN fails to install, why can't the core team get a clean install to work?  I've been working with DNN since 1.0.10 and it's always a nightmare upgrading and installaing.  Actually, I think 2.x was a much better version.  IMHO, Microsoft should have never been allowed to get involved with this initiative.  Anyone else feel my pain? I love and beginning to hate dnn.   Where's the DNN version for the rest of us?  Meaning a quality product.  We want simple installs to run clean... without the brain damage.  DNN Core team... take it back to the drawing board.

bye
