There is a bug in 3.20.08 that I confirmed today so the mod emails aren't working properly. Also, you cannot run this version of the forum w/ your core DNN version of 4.0.2, because of ClientAPI issues.

I finally upgraded the core to 4.3.3.  There may also be a bug in the user management section.  A registered user can look at my settings, but as admin user I can't edit the admin user's settings.  I get the error listed in the last post.

Please review the last post's error and see if there is something I can fix on my end to get the user management working.  Also it only shows users that have logged into the forum, not all the available user registered in the user table.

Thanks,

Steve

Hi Crispy,

Do you know if this will be resolved in the next release, and if so when that might be?  I have recently resolved the problem with unfreindly urls and posting message  by moving over to freindly urls for a client, who is now reporting this problem.  I realise you are all extremely busy, if i could just have a date that I could give my client, that would be great.

Thanks

Jon

Jon-Janet, I cannot even give you a guess on this as I have been so far off in the past (ahead and behind) I implemented a self-imposed no release date policy. I do understand your situation and I am sorry to hear that, but I do not want to pass on expectations which may not be met.

That said, I figured when I started this version there would be about 2 months before it releases. This was based on me fixing bugs and opening up the private messaging system. I have already opened up the PM system in source and started using it. In the meantime, I also completely changed how permissions are handled in the module (which I thought would take 2 months on its own), overhauled private forum access, Refactored how links are handled, Worked out some usability issues, removed gallery, removed the integration project, started on overhaul of avatars, removed all popups, implemented client api in areas and did correct some bugs. Things are going much better than expected, but I wouldn't expect a release until mid September or later. (BTW, it is my own frustration that is driving what is all getting done in addition to user feedback)

Out of all of that I have the following remaining:

  • Find/Fix more current bugs.
  • Test and change PM system as needed.
  • Test permissions and private forum changes.
  • Handle various upgrade possible issues from recent changes.
  • Finish avatar changes. Test.
  • Implement one more client API feature.
  • SQL 2005 Testing.
