since i updated to the newest forum / dnn version (334), the edit post button (for my own posts) is missing. what can i do?

Only trusted users can edit their own posts.

Sorry to bump this thread, is there anyway to disable the forcing of trusted users to edit their posts?  What other access to trusted users get?

You either have to alter the source code, or you can alter the sprocs used to create a user. Altering the sproc you can set all users to trusted by default.
