No, I use ServerBeach now. The plans are very inexpensive and give you 2,000GB bandwidth. PortVista.com is running on it now.

WH4L is probably the best shared hosting. It's cheap and it allows you to backup/restore databases remotely. BUT, I do not recommend it for mission critical websites.

But, for clients who do not see the value in high-end managed hosting, I refer them to WH4L. I tell them I can always move their DNN site to a dedicated server if they don't like WH4L. I'm just not going to lose out on web design business because my hosting rate is too high. So, I send them over to the $10 plan and I don't have to deal with billing them or providing tech support.

Alternatively, my business partner likes GoDaddy for this purpose, when he doesn't want to deal with web hosting tech support and billing clients.

I'm actually in the process of adding a new "hosting" page on PortVista.com to basically explain this and what potential clients' hosting options are. I do have an affiliate code for WH4L and ServerBeach. As their customer, you automatically get a code.

skinjerski (Stephanie),

How does the performance with ihostasp.net seem?

I have a plan with PortalWebHosting and their service and performance is great but the webspace and DB space is very limited compared to some of the other plans.  I have tried WH4Life & EasyCGI and didn't have good luck with either.  I got a VPS with EasyCGI and it would barley run DNN.  It was so slow.

I am now trying 3essentials.com and their pan is great and service seem real good but performance wise, they are slow.  My pages take about 5 times longer to load up than with PortalWebHosting.

I am looking for a good plan, plenty of storage and great performance that I can grow in and then maybe I can afford to move to a Dedicated Server.

We should have a rating system for all the host out there.

John

I have been very happy with WebSecureStores, although my site is not mission critical.

I've been using CrystalTech for many years, I've been with them and DNN since version 1.0.9 and have been very happy.

Their support is quick to address any issues that I have had, and the servers are solid.

I have no complaints, and no, I'm not a salesperson for the company, just a very happy customer.
