You need to apply the following code as an attribute into your menu control.

rootmenuitemactivecssclass="rootmenuitemactive"

and then in your css file put something like this:

.rootmenuitemactive TD{ 
 font-family: Tahoma;
 font-weight: bold;
 color: #ffffff;
 font-size:11px;
}

Dear Mauri

For the DNNMenu control I think that you've to set:
CSSNodeSelectedRoot= "RootMenuItemSelected" or something like that (a name for your css class that you like, for instance: RtMnItAc)
and then set a style for this .css...
But remember also that John have said that for the horizontal rootmenu's he don't use tables. For the vertical rootmenu's he use tables.
