I understand what you mean by the people don't care who it is up to but we have a duty to clarify where the problem is.

Understandable.  How would the api behave?  Would each page have a "Naming" module that was in charge of the title?

What is the likelihood of this happening any time soon?

Since things don't normally just pop into the API, the chances of this happening in next release are slim.  It is possible, however, to sometimes sneek something important in if it doesn't require too much planning.

As for how I think this could possibly work, I would think it would work similar to how something how ISearchable works.  The loaded ascx would Implement a function, lets say ITitle.  If the module implements it, it would be able to override the page title set by the page setting (Tab Settings actually).  The problem I see here is how do you know which module takes priority.  For example, what if i have a forum module on a page and a text/html module which would also probably want to take advantage of this ability?  I mean, you could add a module setting configured per module, but even this requires thought.

I beleive that the request to append thread names to the page title for search engine and saving Favorites  is very important .

Has it been logged in Gemini?

As I understand, blogs and  NukeSyndicate already have this behavior.

I agree.  Dynamic title setting by the forum thread needs to be available.
