Timo, I don't think anyone has ever asked for this. To touch on why I feel this isn't good is really two basic reasons:

• Forum software I use doesn't do this. (Trying to use other vendors like phpbb, ubb, CS as examples)
• This will be a hog on resources.

I am mostly worried about the resources being eaten up in a heavily used environment. Now, that being said I have been thinking about creating some type of answer system. This would entail more than just an unanswered posts, but probably work in the ability to set post status overall. (IE. just because a post has responses, doesn't mean its answered)

Ej Mafkees (Timo), I welcome the suggestions. Although it may not seem like it, I definately keep an eye on all community suggestoins. I think this will become apperent in the next release as several things I keep having requests for are finally making it in. This module has been a constant battle of my limited time, adding features and fixing bugs. I try to pay attention to details but without a solid testing procedure I have found all enhancements bring about bugs. Because of this and my recently available time, I have really been trying to address the roots of the module which I find more important than anything done to date as I really believe this refactoring will eliminate the majority of the bugs seen today. I keep asking the community for feedback and only ask patience in return and this is finally about to pay off for everyone.

I do like the notification idea, btw, but I am reluctant to add another email notification until we have this running in a background thread. You figure, with a setup here of 50k+ users, in a general forum this can easily generate a minimum of 1k emails for a single post. I have just finished refactoring the entire email system but do not plan on moving it to a seperate thread this release. (This requires a core service really).

I definately will keep the notificaiton idea in mind and probably start some of the prep work now as I want to get all the notification templates in there now even if they aren't exposed this will keep them in my mind. I am debating if I want to integrate the post status this release or a future one now since I am working w/ the PostInfo object now as we speak. I'll try to keep you guys all current with my progress as I continue to solidify this release and its goals. (No roadmap for this as I am really trying to examine everything via code to determine what is most important) One thing I have really worked on is performance, btw.
