I've only previously worked with DNN 2.x and am only now trying out 3.3.4 working on my first web site using this version.  Can someone please point me to info about changes to user registration from 2.x to 3.x?  I'm having some difficulty trying to figure out how the new user registration is being handled internally.

For example, after setting up my first test site, when I try to test user registration by registering a new test user, I can't login using the newly created account.  When I check the data in the actual tables, the account seems to be added to a new "asp_users" table instead of the old "Users" table.  I can also see that somehow DNN knows the newly created account exists since it won't let me create another using the same username.

There must be something very basic and fundamental that I'm completely missing here but what?  TIA.
