Hi all,

I know this is bumping but...I've searched the forums up and down, but have not found positive evidence that there is a workaround for this critical error.

If there exists a work around, can someone please provide a step-by-step set of instructions

Or if there is no work around, is this issue fixed in a pre-released form, so that I can at least known to wait patiently?

This is a powerful module when it works.  Thanks for all your hard work.

I have had the same problem since i installed the gallery module. Having to reupload the gallery every day. The other day i noticed taht the gallery stayed fine for more than a day. The only thing i noticed is that i did not log in as admin during that period. I only used my host account. If someone can try doing the same thign maybe we can give a better idea to the project team on what is wrong.

Same problem here - it worked for about a day and then started throwing up the error.

Hi all,

I think I've fixed gallery 3.0.10 for me.  I had previously only gotten my forum to work for a day at a time before I got the critical error.  Now, I've been up for 5 days and counting.  This is what I've done to get it to work:

  1. Uninstall gallery module from my portal.
  2. Download a fresh GalleryPA_3.0.10.zip.
  3. Extract GalleryPA_3.0.10.zip zip file.
  4. From the extracted directory, Edit Gallery.dnn.  Line 8 should be edited to read <businesscontrollerclass></businesscontrollerclass>
  5. From the extracted directory, Edit Maintenance.ascx.  Replace all occurrences of "Gallery_HeaderText" with "HeaderText"
  6. Rezip GalleryPA_3.0.10.zip.  Your new zip should replace the original Gallery.dnn and Maintenance.ascx with your newly edited versions.
  7. Upload and install module.
  8. Enjoy.

I take no credit for this fix.  I've only compiled what worked for me after reading this forum and trying a number of things.
