I have to FTP an audio file to my DNN/Respository application because of some size restrictions that prevent the normal upload proceedure. Where must the file be placed so it can be accessed by the Repository Module once uploaded? TKS for the help,

BB3

Just an Idea.

Have you tried logging into your site using the host account then going to the File Manager (DNN FTP) and selecting upload? If it allows you to upload the file you should be able to select it in the rep module.

Nope that won't work Dan as you can't select an existing file (yet).

BB3 how big is the file?

The DNN app is hosted and there is 15mg limit on uploads and I have been told by the hoster to FTP the file but the question is to what folder? TKS for the help,

Okay, I think the easiest way to do this would be to upload a tiny small audio file with the name you want it to be. Then upload your file to the Portals/(Portal#)/Repository (that would be the default directory the Repository items would be uploaded to). The Repository renames the file when it's uploaded so you'll have to change the name of the actual file to match the renamed file.
