I have the same problem and the documents that are referenced are at the root folder of the portal.

I also have the same problem, I have files in a folder inside the root. I have set the permssion so "All Users" can "View Folder". But once I log out the documents don't show up. This sucks, i just spent two hours adding a hundred or so pdf files to my site, and nobody can see them except me when I am logged in. :(

I just managed to solve this issue for myself so I thought I would post what I did. I have some documents in a folder, they werent showing up in the documents list unless I logged in, only documents that were in the root would show up if I wasnt logged in. I changed the permissions on the folder that contained the documents that weren't showing up so that "All Users" could "View Folder". This still didnt fix anything and the documents still didnt show up in the list. I decided to check the rest of the boxes including, Registered Users, Subscribers, Unauthenticated Users to allow them all to "View Folder". As soon as I did this, all the documents showed up in the list when I am logged out.

I thought this was strange, because you would think that "All Users" means ALL USERS!. But I guess it doesnt, if you want the files to be available to all users, you have to click all four checkboxes, then it should work.

I hope this helps...

Jamie

due to an issue in the core, you might need to set access for unauthenticated users explicitely.
