Lief - feel free to contact me off list if you want to discuss it but I would consider making it a bit more of a module than it is now - or even helping you get it running and modified as it is in it current format - runs off the Lists you can set up in DNN but the main categories are hard coded so its a bit of a nightmare to move it to a new site (at least in my experience)

EDIT: sorry email is dylan.barber @ earthlink.net

I like what you have done so far, like the other replies, i have the need too for a module like this, please post again if you ever distribute it (or if anyone knows of other DNN modules of similar functionality.  For me the important things are:

1. Allow for geographic selection and sub-selections (Country > State\Province > Sub Area )

2. Allow for a number of Clasifieds Categories within the above geographics

3. Options for the person posting the classified to post a graphic image file (or two), the file size which can be limited by the website

4. Several other programmable fields that the person posting the site can include (some required, some optional)

If anyone knows of such a module, I would appreciate knowing about it.  Thanks in advance!!

Dan

I agree: nice looking job. I'm looking for a very basic module to post things on an company intranet. I don't need preset groupings, states, etc. Just something simple so people can post stuff they want to sell or things they're looking to buy. The system you've developed is much more than I'd need (but it would do the job quite nicely!) If it goes out for sharing or sale, let me know too.

In the meantime, I'm thinking of just using a text module....might someone have a better idea?
thanks!

I, too, am interested in a good classifieds module. I have already purchased a package form http://www.geodesicsolutions.com/products/index.htm but it is written in php and uses mysql. I really wanted one for DNN. It has a ton of functionality that they list. Go there an you will see a pre-made wish list. A full featured classifieds module for DNN is probably one module someone could make some reasonable income from. Microsoft has an asp.net classifieds starter kit that may be of some use in this????
