Deep in the bowels of our server room we found the ancient texts running on DNN 1.1.10.

Is there any hope of upgrading while retaining the content?

You know - I've got http://www.dnnskins.com running on 1.10 - it runs like a charm - and it's purpose doesn't require me to upgrade at any time in the near future. HOWEVER, if I had to - I'd be starting from scratch.

If you are running a stock standard vanilla DNN 1.1 installation it should upgrade theoritically but if you don't do it right you'll spend a month of Sundays fixing it - and it's very frustrating to say the least.

How big is your portal? If you're not a developer with a couple of spare days on your hand, then I think the success rate of 1>>4 is about -2.

Just my thoughts on the matter having never lived through a successful upgrade yet.

If it's on DNN, I fix, build, deploy, support, skin, host, design, consult, implement, integrate and done since 2003.
Who am I? Just a city chic, having a crack at organic berry farming.. and creating awesome websites.
