I just loaded DNN on my local machine and am looking at using it for an online catalog.  I added a catlog module to my page, upload an image and put in a description and when I save it, a null reference exception as listed below.  Anyone else see this?

The other thing that is blowing my mind is that I can't figure out how to add categories?  The list is blank by default, which may be causing the error, but I see no interface for managing that list.  I can add it easy enough to the DB, but my client won't want that.

Yep, there are quite a few issues with the release you'll have.

To add categories, you need to add an admin module, you can then add categories and products via that module.

Thanks.  I finally figured out to add the admin module.  I wasn't expecting a seperate module.  As far as the null reference exception, I got around that by adding a category. If I try to add the product from the admin module, I would get thes ame error, but if I add through the catalog module, it would work fine and dandy.  All that fooling around with the module got me nowhere when I discovered no subcategories.

Thanks anyway,

Corey

Just noticed that myself.  Damn.
