The buttons and DropDownLists on modules I develop do not work unless I login as Host, or set the page permissions to allow all users to edit the page, then they work great.   By "do not work" I mean the event handlers to not seem to fire.  If I run in debug and set breakpoints in the event handlers they never execute the handler code.

I've tried resetting cache and I'm running under Medium Trust.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

thanks.

I'm making progress.  If I create a new module by using the DotNetNuke Module Template, my buttons do not work unless the user has Edit permission on the page.

But, if I just create a Web Control (.ascx file), and install it by hand instead of using a manifest file, everything works fine.

What does the template do to modify permissions that doesn't get done when creating/installing by hand?

Setting Cache Time to zero on the module fixed the problem.
