I'm having the same problem with the FTB Editor. I've been trying and trying (to no end) to hack the javascript file in the provider folder for it. I've tried modifying the CSS files for my skin, my portal, and my default, which hasn't worked. I've gotten close a few times but we all know what "Close" counts in. As far as I can tell, the ID is "dnn_ctr<control id>_EditHTML_teContent_teContent" and class of the textarea is "dnn_ctr<control id>_EditHTML_teContent_teContent_HtmlBox". As these both have the Control ID in the name, I'm assuming they're both being generated, which essentially means we can't modify them with our skin css.

As a skin developer, I can't follow the example of switching to FCKEditor, our customers wouldn't like that suggestion. It seems like the Free Text Box Editor is inheriting the CSS of the entire page rather than the container which holds the Text\HTML module.

If anyone has any suggestions (other than "Give Up", because I've already considered that one) I would GREATLY appreciate them.

Thank You,
Chris Garrett

I experienced the same thing with a skin that I developed and found a solution that works for me.  A took the CSS selector for the body tag and changed it to select the element with an ID of Body (#Body).  DNN sets the ID attribute of the document body to the value of Body.

This worked for me...

Set the body background to white, use a div tag with width and height 100% to wrap all of the body content and set its background style to what the body background would have been. the page displays the div and FTB uses the white body background....
