I did a 3.3.6 upgrade hoping it would help, but it did not. I still cannot create a child portal, but I could a few weeks ago when I still had 3.3.5. See above post for info.

Just wondered if anyone had resolved this issue?  I am seeing the same error on a trial account I have setup.

Thanks...

I'm installing DNN 4.4 and have the same error, local on my machine everything works fine, but on the host I get security errors, so I'm guessing my host doesn't have permissions set correct.
But it will be a mess to do so...

OK,
I finally solved it.
What was the problem,
I don't now,
what I do know is tha tit is a DB problem and probably something do to with security on the host DB server.
I solved it by creating a DNN site local, then using SQL export wizard transferred all objects to the server DB, then it works...

Try using StarterKit ( .vsi ), it solved the same problem which I faced too.
