Hello,

spent most of today trying to find out what is going wrong with dnn 4.3.5 install on my web server. I have configured the server as follows:

  • Win2k3
  • SQL 2k
  • running .net 2.0, 

I have made all the appropriate changes to teh web config (i.e using the release.config as web config) and making the changes to the sqlprovider stuff to point to the SQL 2k instance..I have also made all permisional changes to the vdir as necessary...

Install script runs fine all the way to the end, pro,pting success at all stages and offering the link at the end to go to portal. When trying to access portal all i get is

 An unhandled error has occurred.

Thats it??? DNN is logging several PAGE_LOAD_EXCEPTION entries in the eventlog table of the dbase. I have verified the portal 0 dir is there and obviously im running .net 2.0 ok and the DB comms are ok....where to from here and how do i get DNN throw full error messages as opposed to the friendly message its returning?

Anyone else having this issue?

I'm having the same problem except I don't think I've made the "... permisional changes to the vdir as necessary..." What are these? my isp provider is using the same environment as yours.
