Hi, I have a problem when I upload the module...

This is the message of error:

 

Failure The element 'folder' has invalid child element 'foldername'. Expected 'description'. An error occurred at , (7, 3).
Failure The 'foldername' element is not declared. An error occurred at , (7, 3).
Failure The 'modulename' element is not declared. An error occurred at , (8, 3).
Failure ExceptionSystem.Exception: Dnn load failed, aborting at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.ResourceInstaller.PaDnnAdapter_V2.ReadDnn() at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.ResourceInstaller.PaInstaller.Install()

It sounds that you try to install the module in a version prior to DNN 3.1.X

Upgrade your portal to 3.1.1 and try int again, it will work then.

Hi all, when i try to install module forum_3.10.04, it appears these errors, plz help me.
I am using DNN 3.1.1. Thanks in advance.

If you can't upgrade to 3.1.0 or greater then you have to remove nodes from the dnn file.  I know the one foldername is one of them.  Keep removing and testing until fixed.  I just cannot remember where the post was or which ones exactly to remove.

As for the other error it looks like it is not getting to the dnn file which probably means you are attempting to install a source version and not the install version.
