... I will discuss this with the site admininstrators, meanwhile anyone can send his XSL and I will post it in the Additional Documents area.

I cannot find the Additional Documents area. Am I missing the obvious?

I am a novice to UDT/XML/XSL. I have been monitoring discussions here in User Defined Table forum for a couple weeks with intent to learn. I want to jump in to say thank you to those leading this forum, because you are some of the most responsive, knowledgable, detailed and friendly group of leaders I have experienced in DotNetNuke.com in six months I have been using the DNN system.

Seems there are others who are more novice like me and could use more working examples of the power of UDT. I notice that sometimes once a topic steers away from core User Defined Table to the use of XML/XSL to code a solution, the conversation slows or stops.

Could someone recommend a good primer book/documentation on the use of XML/XSL that is as close to UDT as possible?

XSL is not quite often used and it doesn't help to say its easy to manage once you are familar with it. It is difficult for us writing a general introdruction, the next udt documentation contains a chapter for UDT and Xsl.

If you had a special issue or an idea I would suggest posting it as new thread. All you really need (and that is where nobody can help you) is to define your requirements: What kind of data do you want to store? How should it look like? If you can answer this with an UDT Table definition and a HTML fragment for one row of your data, writing the needed xsl is quite simple.

"Enhanced View Card XSL" is all that's there at the moment? OK. I was looking for, anticipating, a larger repository. Thank you.

Stefan, I do very much appreciate the open invitation to describe a problem and have others like you help to solve it. This is especially helpful during the newbie stage: to build small, working and personal solutions.

An idea for consideration: a third UDT (or XML/XSL) forum: Use Case. In this forum, periodically - perhaps once a month - the forum leaders invite participants to submit a brief or casual use case featuring the associated module. For the first two weeks of each month, forum participants post use cases; real life problems we wish to solve using the designated module. The project leaders would then choose a use case as an example from which to develop a solution. That use case would then be a model, a real world example, for which others could use. Use Case forums could be a great compliment to other discussion models, but separate and distinct from other forums, making easy to find code and examples of.

If a problem can be solved, there's no use worrying about it.
If it can't be solved, worrying will do no good.
