I have moved my DNN site and now I have a major problem.  I can not login into the site.  The login page is where it is supposed to, but it seems that none of the users are there.  How do I get it to where I can log in?

What I did:

  1. Create the IIS Directory on the new server
  2. Copied folder of all the files to the new server.
  3. Pointed the IIS to the proper folder.
  4. detached the DB from old server, and copied it the new server.
  5. Reattached the DB on both servers.
  6. Ran the DNN for the first time on the New server and (it said upgraded)
  7. Refreshed and the site came up without a problem.
  8. Tried to log in (and Failed)

What do I need to do so I can fix this?

are you sure you are working from your db copy? did you change the sql connection string parameters in web config? did you add the url of your new site location to the list of portal aliases prior to the migration?

Have you copied across the machine keys from the original web.config file?

The only thing I changed was the server that is connects to (IE: PC1\SQLEXPRESS to PC2\SQLEXPRESS).
