So you are specifying IndicateChildImageRoot="menu_down.gif" and your image is not showing up?  well that makes sense, since you have not specified a path...  I assume your page is looking for the menu_down.gif to be located in the root (since you did not specify another location)...

NO, I have to specifiy it IndicateChildImageRoot="menu_down.gif" to show up!

Have the skin object NAV been tested in 4.3.6 from html to runing skin ?

I have done some more testing.

The error I described before was when using SolpartMenuNavigationProvider.

image paths was set like xxx.yyyyy.com/images//images/breadcrumb.gif

After changing the same skin to use DNNMenuNavigationProvider it works.

I asumed it should work for both providers but maybee that was a wrong interpretation of the "documentation" ?

Of course it will work with both providers, the question you seem to be asking is will they work the same...  The answer is of course, no, they are not the same.  The original solpart menu dating back to DNN 2.x used the systemimagepath as a prefix for its arrow image paths.  This remains this way for backwards compatibility.  However, the DNNMenu does not lock your images into this location for obvious reasons.

This was hard...

So you say that - If I use the NAV skin object I should use DNN--Provider not the Solpart?

I know they dont do the same work, but I thought they should use the same syntax.

The question I ask is - Is it a bug?

Maybee this had been more clear if the tokens was included in the skinning document. I have just your document and the code and I just tryed to follow the recomendation.

"Nav.ascx UserControl
As previously mentioned, it is recommended that new skins created move away from the “old” skin objects and instead utilize the new Nav skin object"
