 Hello Everybody....

I new in DNN, and I have some many  question about all related from DNN

The undergradute final work... is to created a portal to an community in El Salvador...

So..

I need to learn about how to connect the remote Data Base to my DNN????

can you please be more specific about your needs - do you need to access additional content from another database in your module or need to refer a remote SQL server as DNN database in your web.config?

thanks for Yours interesting  but my english is very poor... I try to explain

well,  the SQL server are install in other place(location, country El Salvador)

My DNN portal are in USA...

I try to make a module of consult in my DNN  to access this server the consult is very simple, is display a data about taxes of the members of the community is a simple select put in a grid

the question is how to stablish this connection between servers?

Hi,

If you create new module then you can use standard .net data access. You have almost unlimited posibilities - for start see http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnbda/html/daag.asp 

or you can use third-party module like http://components.init.si/IndooGridDNNmodule/tabid/180/Default.aspx
