Is there a function within the DNN framework that will return the TabId from a URL or do I need to write my own?  I looked in the DotNetNuke.Common.Utilities, but those classes that I saw did not appear to do what I am looking for.  Did I just miss it?  :)

Sorry...  I was not as specific as I should have been.  I mean a function that I can pass a URL to that is not the current page.

You want to pass a Url to a function and have it tell you what tabId that Url is pointing to?

No, I don't know of a function for that, but I'm interested to why you would need it.

You could just parse it from the Url that you have.  Is the Url you have a Friendly Url or a normal Url with Querystring variables?

NavigateUrl() does not do this, but it can make a Friendly Url out of a TabId.  Maybe that is what you need?

I am attempting to write a Search Provider for a Google Appliance.  The search results obviously are returned in a different format, so I need to parse those and populate the SearchInfo object and in turn the SearchInfoCollection object.  One of the required properties is "TabId", which I can only get from the URL.

I was hoping for an easy way to just return the TabId from the URL.  I normally write code the hard way first and rewrite it the way it should have been later.  :)
I want the provider to be portable, so I want to be able to parse friendly and non-friendly URLs.  It looks like I am going to have to write this function.  Thanks.
