ello

I'm completely new to DNN, I've just followed the istallation procedure using DNN 4.3.1, DotNet Framework 3.0, IIS 5.1, SQL Server 2005 Express and SQL Server Management Studio Express.

Having configured web.config I goto http://localhost/DotNetNuke/ to begin installation and all I get is the directory listing for the folder. I don't know where to even start to look for problems

make sure you set up the web site in IIS configuration as well!

hey, thanks for your reply

i've created a virtual directory in IIS which points to the installation directory

I was using the source package, I noticed that the directory structure is different in this package than the others so I pointed IIS to the 'website' directory instead to see it that prompted anything, however I now get a 'you are not authorised to view this page' error instead
