Hi

I have to install some javascript functions in to the <head> area of my dnn webpage. I have tried adding them in using the 'Settings' option under 'Page Functions'. I put my code in the 'Page Header Tags' box under 'Advanced Settings'. It didn't work. Then, when I view the source - my code has been truncated.

Also, I need the <body> tag to contain an 'onload' command.

How can I do this?

Stapes

This is one way:

Add a Javascript link to the Head section from your skin

And here is a way to add a function to the load event of the window:

if (window.addEventListener)
{
    window.addEventListener("load", MyFunctionName, false);
}
else if (window.attachEvent)
{
    window.attachEvent("onload", MyFunctionName);
}

Hi

Thanks for your response. So which file to I edit to add Javascript to my skin, and where does the load event code go?

Steve

The skin file will be the one that you have assigned to your portal from the skins folder. It will end in .ascx

The event add code can be placed at the top of your .js file
