Anyone ever had this happen?  I'm using 4.3.7 and am having this issue with a number of my dev installations.  I can't tell if its something I did in my mods or not.  Log says the login was successful.  There are no errors.  But no Admin or Host menus appear for the host account.

I've cleared temp files, cookies, all the usual stuff.

I am also having the exact same problem.  I've spent a good 5-6 hours deleting and re-installing DNN multiple times all with the same result.  It seems to log you in, but no admin or host menus appear.  I'm truly stuck at this point, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same thing happening to me on a clean install. Anyone found a fix yet?

As an update in case others run into this problem... In my case it seems to be a cache issue with DNN. After creating the Portal, DNN opens the new portal up in Edit mode. Unfortunately the credentials don't seem to get passed to the new site so when I click anything I am bounced to the login page. Not a big deal really but after login successfully I get passed back to Home with no credentials. Funny thing is that after my session expires (20min or so) I can login just fine. Also if I use a different computer I can login fine.

I am using IE7 so I thought that it might be a problem with IE but I get the same thing in FF. Even if I create the portal in IE and access in FF. So I suspect it has to do with the server cache/session. Hopefully there is something that can be done in DNN to fix this. I spent a day reinstalling over and over thinking my install was bad.

I also have no admin menu after an install.  I too have deleted both the DB and the DNN files but it made no difference (I did reuse the web.config file though).
