Oh no. I think I was misunderstood. I wasn't blaming Anthony. I am having the same problem with my own modules and I know other developers are too. This has nothing to do with anything he did... he just happens to be a victim of the problem too.

That isn't where the blame is being pointed... Anthony's module is highly used and how the testing team never saw this issue is beyond me.

Actually, I'm "in" the testing team by virtue of my role as a team lead, so you can blame me if you want... I didn't have time to test the release candidate for new DNN version this time around because I had a lot of work to get done in December so I could have a break over the Christmas period.

FYI, here's a copy of the email I sent out to registered users,

This is a special mailing for users of Inventua modules to warn of issues with DotNetNuke 4.4.  You are receiving this email because you are a registered user at www.inventua.com.

Warning for users of Inventua modules

Due to a couple of bugs in the new version of DotNetNuke, users will experience issues with all Inventua modules in DotNetNuke 4.4.  The problem has been reported to the core team, and they are incorporating the fix into DotNetNuke 4.4.1.

Until DotNetNuke 4.4.1 is released, users of the Inventua Sidemenu, TopMenu, Shadow, Google Search, Media Player, Flash Player, Quicktime Player, Paypal module, System monitoring toolkit and PassThrough modules are advised to delay their implementation of the new version.

If you have already upgraded to DotNetNuke 4.4., please contact us via email - support@inventua.com, so we can help you to get your site running.

If you are using the Inventua HrefExchanger (Url rewriter), be advised that a seperate issue affects that product.  You can download an update for use with DotNetNuke 4.4. from http://www.inventua.com/dnn-hrefexchanger.content

Robax:  PortalSecurity.vb is part of the core.  If you cannot find it, you may be using an "install" package of DotNetNuke rather than the "source" package.

Hello Anthony

Do people using the "install" package have another option to try to fix this problem?

Thanks

Lynn
