I have DNN 4.3.7 and Documents module 3.01.06 and SQL 2005.  I have three files, titled A, B, C, and D.  The sort as C,D,A,B.  None has a sort index, so they should sort by title. Also, if I try to set the Sorting to 'Title' (or anything else), it does not stick, but goes back to 'Sort Index' the next time I look at the settings. Another thread, "Sorting doesn't work" addresses a similar thing, and says it is fixed.  But, it doesn't appear to be.

Thanks in advance for any help.

This is solved and is not a bug.  Lee at DNN Creative pointed out that I was missing a step in setting the documents module to sort:

In the sorting drop down list, select Title. - Then Click on Add Sort Order link to the right of this.
Underneath you should then see Title listed
Click on Update and all you settings should be stored.

You can add multiple elements to the sort order using this method.
