Hello,

I would like to know if there are any instructions on how to move a full Dotnetnuke site from one server to another.
What I mean is...
a web site was setup useing Dotnetnuke by someone for us and now he is moving out of the picture. so what i need to do is to move the current site to a new server from his server. I have setup the dotnetnuke base setup and I want to take the images and skins and data and move it to the new server. How?

Thanks for all your help.

Bob S.

Didn't look like anyone rushed to your assistance.   I have the same issue and was looking for wisdom and insight when I found your message.

I did see one other thread in the forums that might address your needs.

Otherwise, if I get a chance, I'll post a follow-up to this thread on my experiences.  Wish me luck.

Hi, you might try the BackupScript Module for DotNetNuke. You can install this module on a page in your DNN Portal, and can save the whole site to file. If you want to migrate the site to another server, create a new installation on that server, intall BackupScript, copy the backup files via FTP an you are done.

BackupScript costs 48$ and you can buy it here:

Greetings,

Simon Egli
