An error has occurred.

Also, each of the modules functions... the picture is there, and they work - but the descriptions are gone.

I'd check previous post, but I'm really scrambling right now.  Have a meeting with the VP over THIS website.

have you checked caching and compression settings? The issue is not very specific, therefore it is difficult to give you an advice. Have a look at the event viewer, if there are issues listed, that could cause the error displayed.

Cheers from Germany,

O.K, the threat of the ice storm in Houston saved me from my meeting yesterday.  Anyway.

I figured out why I was getting this error.  In pursuit of creating a new alias I first added published my portal to the new server through Visual Studio's "publish", then I added the virtual directory and all the security settings on the folder. This pre-compiled version created when it was published apparently didn't copy over the proper files or what have you.

So I deleted this virtual directory and folder and just did it the old fashion way... copying the folder over to the server and all of these issues disappeared.  Thank God.

Soon my department and all of the groups within it will have their new portal.

And thank you Leupold, for your post.  I am having another issue, but I will post that separately.

Sherry
